count your blessings

I have a better understanding of the phrase, "Count your blessings."
In all my cafes, I have stablished a four-men team; a cashier, line person, cook and a cook helper. Unfortunately, I didn't have the cook helper by my side for the past two days which means I had to cook, serve the line at lunch and clean up at the end of the day. To those of you who don't have any idea what I am trying to express, this meant a lot of work for this old man.
Anyway, as I was doing the dishes, Augustine, the line cook, came to me and told me that I was working too hard and I responded, "You too and thank you." Then he said, "I worked all my life and I had to do it because there weren't any food on the table, whereas, you work to make a profit."
Count your blessings. We are all so blessed.
